General Description:
SmartDisc is the second-generation of a dynamic messaging platform that has been designed to support digital collateral and marketing tools. It provides superior tracking and ROI capabilities in the areas of lead generation, prospect qualification, extended customer relationship management and collateral usage tracking.
SmartDisc tracks what your customers and prospects (users) do with your electronic collateral and then sends e-mails, text messages, or pager messages to designated sales reps, customer service reps, administrators or anyone else the business model requires.

Product Overview:
CD-ROMs, DVD-ROMs, enhanced CDs, digital documents (like PDF), web sites and multimedia content all interact dynamically with SmartDisc. NBS Worldwide is ready to help you produce any manner of digital content or format your existing collateral and integrate it with SmartDisc to support your business goals.
Components of the SmartDisc application reside in both the content and on a web server. NBS Worldwide will manage the hosting and administration on a dedicated server.
SmartDisc sends data to report on events, track data and record input from people who use your collateral. Electronic collateral can record and track usage even when users are offline and then report that usage when they are next online.
For example:
Once you have posted new collateral at a secure designated location, SmartDisc will report to you which of your sales reps have downloaded the collateral and when, as well as provide you with reports covering who has not retrieved the collateral. Once the collateral has been downloaded, SmartDisc will continue to track the use path of the collateral, providing you with monthly or weekly reports on how often the collateral has been distributed by your reps. The detail report will tell you exactly when and where the collateral was sent. Finally, SmartDisc will report to you on if/ when the collateral was reviewed by the prospect or customer (user), and what action was taken as a result of the review.
Some possible actions might include:
- selection of an option for more information
- request for a free trial (transmitted directly to your fulfillment department to expedite setup of the trial service)
- request for a meeting
Ultimately this system will help you not only track the initial use of the collateral, it can continue to track and report all the way through the sale of the product represented.
SmartDisc allows you to track and record as much information about your users as you require. This can range from form-data, which the users are prompted to provide, to usage data. The collected information can be as broad as whether or not content has been viewed by specific users or as granular as tracking the amount of time spent viewing and specific mouse paths or clicks of any user. Examples include:
- User Contact Info (Name, phone numbers, addresses)
- User Qualification Info (Per business requirements)

SmartDisc allows you to create, modify and maintain your own set of custom business rules that determine who gets what kind of messages when. SmartDisc’s powerful Business Rules Engine makes automating user and lead support easy. Examples of business rules include:
- When a user has viewed a demo, send an e-mail to customer service, including the user’s name, phone number, e-mail address and which demo they viewed.
- When a user has filled out the pre-qualification form, assign a sales rep based on zip code and send an e-mail including all user contact info to the assigned sales rep.
- When a user has requested a trial service, send a text message to the assigned sales rep including user name, phone number and sample number.
